In early November, Mopar® announced the release of two new Crate HEMI® Engine Kits at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. These new kits will provide enthusiasts factory-backed, efficient options for plugging Gen III HEMI engines into iconic Mopar vehicles from the 1970s and earlier, so owners can now inject HEMI power into muscle-car era beasts like the Plymouth ‘Cuda or Dodge Charger.

The Mopar 345 Crate HEMI Engine Kit boosts the 5.7-liter HEMI engine to 383 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque; the 392 Crate HEMI Engine Kit holds the 6.4-liter HEMI steady at 485 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque. Each engine kit includes the hardware needed to put the respective HEMI engine under the hood, and may be used with previously purchased 2014 or newer 5.7-liter or 6.4-liter HEMI service engines. Customers may also choose to purchase a new HEMI engine and Crate HEMI Engine Kit together.
