Car Maintenance in Relation to Fluid Maintenance

As you know, cars are machines that have moving parts. With the running parts, they require so much liquid to enable them to run efficiently without breaking down. The fluids that are needed for the machines to run also need to be replaced regularly. When should you replace your car fluids?

Your brake fluid needs replacement every two years. Sometimes when the brakes are rough, this could be caused by bad brake fluid. Most cars vary with oil maintenance. However, it is recommended that one replaces engine oil based on the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule, provided in your owner’s manual. Your transmission fluid needs to be checked monthly. It is highly recommended that it is replaced between 50,000- 100,000 miles. We also advise that you check your coolant twice a year, preferably before summer and winter, and replace it after every 2 to 3 years. Power steering fluid should be checked once a month and should be replaced when necessary.

If you need help or assistance with your fluid maintenance, you should make an appointment with the service center at Bayird Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Kennett, MO. We have professionals that will make sure your fluid maintenance is the way it is supposed to be.
